11/22/2023 0 Comments Nestopia core fdsJust wondering if anyone has had any luck getting this to work at all on RetroPie. Since its presumed you dont have shoulder buttons, you might have to remap using one of the three options: -Use the retroarch gui and modify / save the seting. Despite what the log says it seems like it's ignoring the database XML or loading it from elsewhere. Usually this is mapped to your L1 button in libretro fceumm or libretro nestopia by default if your controllers have the L1 /R1 shoulder buttons. I even changed conformance to "strict" and removed all of the entries, thinking it would prevent any games from loading, but it didn't have any effect. Verbose logging tells me it's looking at the XML located in the /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/ directory, but my changes aren't recognized. Supposedly "NstDatabase.xml" helps determine if a game supports 4 players and if it needs the Famicom version of the adapter, but it seems like it's being ignored on my RetroPie. Im pretty sure the problem is because of the bios not being in the correct spot. Because I selected it without having either one at the time, every time I boot RA it tries to load the Nestopia core which doesnt work without those bios files (even AFTER adding them it doesnt work) and now I have. The problem Im running into is playing Famicom Disk System games. Nestopia is the worst of the 3 Nes emulators RA gives you. There doesn't appear to be any options to set for multitaps like the cores for other systems. Hey guys After watching Jasons Retroarch video I decided to switch all my emulators over to Retroarch and Im loving it. Is there any way to get the Famicom four player adapter (4-Players Adaptor) working with the available cores on RetroPie? Nestopia works great for the US Four Score, but no matter what I do I can't get 4 player mode to work for Famicom games.
